Tax the rich won't work

The best thing that animal lovers can do is vote for the conservative. Obama and Clinton go out of their way to say we're going to make rich people PAY (class envy is ugly)! You must admit that having pets is a choice that is paid for with discretionary income. If people have more of the money that they work for, instead of throwing it down a government rathole in the name of "fairness", they will have more to give to animals of their own - and to animal causes in general.

The bigger issue is not about taxes and how it effects personal pets, but who is going to step to the plate and help fix the problem of underfunded overcrowded shelters that are themselves not up to standards.
While I don't want to pay any more taxes, I think there is enough pork in the budgets of all elected officals that could be relocated to animal care, spay/neuter, and better facilities.
