News at the sanctuary

I am the founder of Paws, Hoofs & Claws animal rescue and sanctuary, which is a nonprofit organisation 501/c3.
My organisation is an absolutely no kill. Some of our animals are disabled or have endured such horrific abuse that the need a very special home and until that happens they stay here with me, we do not adopt any animals out on site, people have to qualify, we try to make sure it is a forever loving home our animals go to. I get as many dogs and cats out of the local pound as possible.
Our latest addition is a Billy goat named "Capucino", he was tied to a fence, was a skelleton and full of any parasite known to mankind, however after a visit to the vet and lots of groceries and TLC he is a happy camper and made a lot of friends here.
My hope is that one day animals considered being livestock will be more protected by law and that people are going to understand that they feel pain and fear as much as any other living creature does. Even though they are in our food chain we should make sure to give them the best life and kill them humanley.
Capuccino and all the other farm animals which I rescued are of course save and will live here at our farm for the rest of their lifes.
