Shepper Lost His Fight

Shepper

Shepper lost his fight against cancer last month. We tried to give him every chance and he fought to the end. We miss him terribly. We learned a lot, though, about canine cancer treatments, including proper diet, holistic supplements, etc. Shepper was somewhere around 14+ years old, so his age was against him. We never thought of him as that old and it didn't even occur to us to think of him as "old".

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Shepper, it's never easy. We also lost our 14 yr. old dog a few months ago. Time doesn't heal, but it will slowly stop hurting as much.

I felt the same way about my Duncan. We never looked at him as old. He passed away last November at the age of 14. I am so sorry for your loss, but glad that you are talking about him. I kept my grief bottled up too long.
