I am sad to say that my Peppah was hit by a speeding truck on June 8th 2009, that didnt even stop once he hit her. My son was so hurt and I was crushed I felt as if I had lost a child. I never knew that people could be so heart less and I want to thank everyone for their support. I can not replace Peppah and it will be awhile before I get another puppy but my son and husband want one I just can't bear it am I being selfish or should I let them get a new puppy.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I lost a cat to a hit and run and it was horrible. Your family should wait until everyone is done grieving before moving on and getting another pet. You would wait if they were not ready. It will be a much better environment for a new pet if everyone is ready.

I'm truly sorry for your loss of Peppah...I know how it can feel like losing a child...our fur babies tend to be our children...and yes peaceniks & Misty are right... when the time is right, a furkid will come into your life...

i am so sorry to hear about your furbaby Peppah... everyone mourns in their own way... you are not being selfish at all... sometimes it helps the mourning process if another furkid joins the family... sometimes its just not time...

peaceniks is right... when the time is right, a furkid will come into your life...
