We took Jake to the vet. He had a bad spell like a stroke and couldnt get up. He was able to walk shakily the next day but we knew it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge. Our vet, Dr Woods was very kind and it was a peaceful passing for him. We were never very close with Jake even though he lived with us for 12 years. He seemed to have issues with relating to people and other animals. He was never mean or aggressive he would just be annoying. I did love him and will always remember him running as fast as he could at the fairgrounds running around and barking at nothing. He was a good boy and never messed in the house except for once when he couldnt get up. I hope he is happy and at peace and doesnt feel afraid any longer. I feel that my son-in-law Joe is taking care of him he always had a soft spot for Jake. Joe has quite a pack in heaven, Tawny, Jake, Petie, Cider. Anyway we do miss Jaken Paken Pookin Pockin. He was a good looking fellow, RIP Jake.
