Today I got up early, gave Riley a bath a good brushing and took him to the vet. Riley loves to ride and was very happy to do so. My vet is over 20 miles away so Riley really enjoyed the adventure. Upon arriving at the vet, Riley went woah, I have been here before and strained against his leash and tried to go the other way. I laughed as we went inside. It was time for his check up and his routine rabies shot and he also got his distemper and parvo booster. We waited a little while because there were a few ahead of us, but everyone wanted to know what kind of dog this beautiful corgi was. Riley relished the attention and enjoyed his day out with mama. He weighed 30 pounds which was the same as the last time he had came. He also was given a clean bill of health and some ointment for his nose which stays irritated for years now since he was hit by a car several years ago. When we arrived back home, Riley did not want the day to end and refused to exit the car. We played tag for about 5 minutes until I finally won and caught and got him out of the car. All in all, it was a wonderful day with my healthy dog at the vet! A very good well check!
