Pet Wars, Cute or Cuter, Easter Sunday Thoughts, Wiggles Blue Heeler

I notice with some amusement that, in the "Pet Wars" "competition," Wiggles is shown as having twice as many "losses" as "wins." Considering that this absolute sweetheart and gentle spirit has been blind for the past three and a half years and is still unsullied, cheerful, energetic, and full of zest for life, I'm wondering why the "competition" was dubbed "Pet 'Wars'" ? This is all about fun and the photos of our beloved pets. War it is not!

To those that read these journal entries, you'll soon know, if you don't already, that Wiggles Blue Heeler is my once-in-a-lifetime dog friend, just as Smoke, the grey Arabian gelding, was my once-in-a-lifetime horse -- that beauty is truly in the eye, heart and soul of the beholder, and that I am forever beholden to God for these blessings in my life!

No matter about "pet wars;" it's a lovely spring Easter Sunday here in west-central Ohio's Amish and Mennonite farm country, we're out breathing fresh, cool, crisp air, taking in deep draughts of it, our ears filled with spring birdsongs, our trowel loosening up the top half-inch of good, composted mixed dirt (everything below that is still Frozen!), congratulating the giant Dutch hyacinths, crocus, daffodils, and early daylilies for their "wearin' o' the Green," which will soon produce the Colors of Summer.

Wiggles Blue Heeler's ears delight in all the spring sounds, his cattle dog bolt upright 'bat ears' swiv'lin' 'round so as not to miss anything, his nose near the ground, sniffin' for rabbit clutches, then coming back up to where he stands, almost "at attention," letting the sun warm his back, his Bentley mark shining in the early afternoon rays of the spring suns like the mark on the forehead of many baby bunnies, his beautifully-handsome, chiseled face enjoying his ninth spring!

Back to the outdoors to soak up some more spring sun, both of us!

May your Easter Sunday be blessed in ways perhaps yet unknown, but budding like spring flowers, soon to bloom!
