Nami's urine sample showed that he no longer has blood in his urine, but his p/h is still high, at 7. We are keeping him on Hill's Prescription C/D and Cosequin. I am scaling back on the dry food and feeding more moist. Instead of a half a can of moist and a 1/4 cup of dry, I am now feeding 2/3 can moist and 1/8 cup dry per day until the dry runs out then feeding moist only. I will keep an eye on him for the next couple of months and take another sample in sometime in May. I need to weigh him and see if he has lost some weight. He was at 16.2 pounds in February, one month ago, so I need to see what he is at now. He has a large frame, so the Vet doesn't want him to lose more than a pound and a half. That would put him at about 15 pounds. He doesn't look fat, he is just a big boy. The more I can do at home, the better. Nami is NOT a good patient and he is particular about everyone, so he doesn't do well at the Vet. He attacks the front of the cage and won't let anyone come near him. He seems to tolerate things better since he has been on this new diet and meds. I am glad to have my Nam-Noodle back...I have missed him (even if he was there in body)
