Moving Day

Ok, So its almost moving day (2 more weeks and the anxiety is already building). I have to admit i feel a little bit guilty. Stink was originally the only cat in our house when he lived with me at college and only had a friend when we were home for breaks and holidays. Then my roommate got another cat when he was about a year old.
When we were home he and my parents cat always got a long great, running and playing; hanging out together. Well now we are moving out to a house where he will again be the only child. I feel guilty because he and Wyntre are such good friends. However as good of friends as they are, hes way more attached to me and vice versa. I plan on bringing him home with me when I visit, we aren't moving too far away, I just wish there was a way I could give him a friend but another cat just isn't an option.
I will certainly get him one when we move into our own place in about a year. I just hope he adjusts easily. Anyone have any other suggestions to help with this transition other than the normal reassuring, be home with him for the weekend , spoil him rotton kind of stuff, I would love to hear it.
