Jasmine is finally diagnosed

Jasmine has been having this off and on limping in her front right leg. Recently she's been fine, with no limping. We've been pet sitting for 4 older labs, all still active. We got up the other morning to take the bunch outside and Jasmine stayed laying on her pillow. Nothing very new, sometimes she likes to sleep in and we've never stopped her, since she's so wonderfully house-trained. When we came inside, Jasmine was on the floor, about a foot away from where she was laying down. Same on her side position, but looking around. She kind of popped her head up and gave me this look. I bent down to check her over, intellectually checking her front leg. She whimpered and tried to move, only causing her more discomfort. I called my work to see if they had any time for me to bring her in and get a few test's done. We have been contemplating if she's had lyme, even though her blood test came back negative at the end of October. She was such a good girl for the blood test's and letting the vet look her over. Looking at me the whole time, "thank you mommy." She has such powerful eyes. She does have lyme, and (?)anaplasmosis(i think-its another tick transmitted bacteria that goes hand in hand with lyme)

We had blood analysis done to see how he internals are, no levels in excess other then her liver, which wasn't too off, probably from the fever and the infection. She'll need to have another one in 6 month's to make sure no levels have gotten higher. Neither infection was too dominant, so it should be a smooth ride to recovery. After only 3 days she's acting like she's a puppy! Lucian has defiantly helped her get a bit more energy, and now he's just trying to keep up.

I'm so glad it's finally figured out! When the limping first occured we thought lyme, and the vet said it was a viable possibility, but since a test was just done there was no way of really knowing. The test we had them do was a more in depth test for lyme and other blood infections.

She is such a good girl, and now she's feels so much better!
