Even though it is cold outside, that doesn't mean you should stop treating for fleas and heartworms in your pets.... Fleas are still out when it is cold just waiting for a warm body to jump on. I have had more trouble in the winter with fleas in the past just because I wasn't expecting it than I have in the summer when everyone was expecting it.
