EPI - Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency

I volunteer with German Shepherd Rescue of Central Alabama. I have been affiliated with them for 5 years. I am their secretary, website manager, photographer and foster parent.
I have a darling little boy here for adoption named Dagwood. He came from a local shelter. His sorry owner/breeder dumped him and three of his littermates at ten weeks of age because he didn't want to fool with them anymore. I guess he had already made all the money he wanted by selling their other ten littermates.
Dags siblings that I rescued have all been adopted.
Dagwood started losing weight in March. He had always been runty and skinny but I thought it was because the other pups were higher on the totem pole than him. After they got adopted, I realized he wasn't eating because he didn't feel good. He was diagnosed with EPI on April 14th.
I am just learning about this disease. Its common in shepherds but this is the first case I have had in over 10 years of owning them.
