My Quarter Horse, Chance, got himself into some trouble this past summer. He is a Rescue, and as sweet as a horse can be, he rides like a dream, but he is not as fond of people as the Zipster is! Chance's only real fault, and it is a big one, is that he cribs. Of course, we weren't told that when we got him. Cribbing is a bad habit where horses eat wood. It isn't Too bad for us, because we have metal posts and barbless wire fencing, with railroad ties on the corners. Of course, he did eat some of the wood in the barn, which wasn't good. The problem came because he ate my neighbors treated wood. There is a form of arsenic in it, and he became quite sick, with swollen lymph nodes and such. Well, after nearly six months of treatment, and major babying of the big guy, he is finally starting to come out of the worst of it. At one point, I even thought he had cancer, and even debated putting him down, he seemed in such pain. He has lost some weight, but he is starting to perk up. For the first time in months, I saw him trotting around with Zip, yesterday. They were playing together. I feel like there is a Chance now that Chance will recover. And then we can focus on Joe's fight. If Chance can recover, then Joe can too. Prayers certainly helped Chance, and zootooers are the best Pray'ers I know!

Prayers do get answered!
God Bless Everyone!
Blastomycosis (fungal disease) most commonly misdiagnosed too in the US for dogs. It can affect horses to so that's why I'm putting this out there.
