A great sadness decends on our house

There is a darkness in our house that will only fade with time. It was with heavy hearts that we made the desicion to have Tillie put to sleep. Her seizures had gotten worse. Her meds were making her into a drunken zombie. The vet and myself were worried if we upped her meds anymore we would crash her liver. He thinks we could have been dealing with a brain tumor. Tillie is now forever seizure and drug free. She was laid to rest on our farm with another beloved pet that passed from old age years before. We laugh when we think how he will keep her inline.

You know, it might be the other way around. The "older" pet is no longer old, but spry and running as a puppy! I'd like to think that pet welcomed Tillie by running ahead of her, leading the way.

We say he will keep her inline because up to the very last day Timber was the boss. He was very tolerant but alol the other dogs knew he was in charge. He will always lead the pack at the farm

I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you and your vet reached a decision that was compassionate and honored the love and bond you shared with Tillie.

Thank you for your compassion. She was my world but I truly believe she is better now. I also know that we gave each other all we had and now I have to move on and share that with other aniimals in need of what I gave her and more importantly what she gave me.
