Wow! Missing all the "fun"
I, of course, had to put in my two cents worth. It sounds like we need a big get together with everybody that's anybody. I've been at LHS. I volunteered at LHS. I gave alot of my hard earned money to LHS. I am also one of the many folks that posted on zootoo to help win the money. Does that mean I have the right to know what is going on? Yep.
Now, some of you already know who I am and know that I joined up with a handful of others to start another animal welfare organization. Does that make one too many animal welfare groups for Liberty county? Not in my opinion. There is a very large problem in our area and we all need to pull together and help to solve that problem.
Having just started on May 14, the facts regarding how to start and maintain a non-profit organization are fresh in my mind. If you happened to attend our meeting at the end of May you know there is much, so very much, involved in doing so. Maybe I see things in black and white (as it is said) but all this "drama" should be simple to work out. Go step by step with the laws for the state of Georgia and the laws for the federal government. First Law: LHS follows yes or no. Second Law: LHS follows yes or no. And so on and so on. Isn't there someone out there that can walk LHS through this and then inform the public of its findings? He said, she said isn't going to work.
I hope things get straight and the truth is told before we set zootoo "on fire" with all the talk. At this rate we might be able to match the "hype" with last year's million dollar winners in St Louis.
Animal Haven of Hope Society, Inc is the group to which I referred. Our mission statement is simple: help animals and help others help animals. We, the members, agree to do our best to assist any qualified animal organization that needs assistance and makes their request to us in writing. We meet the third Thursday of every month at Western Sizzlin. The meetings begin at 6:30pm, but you can come a little early and order your food if you prefer. We intend to make the meetings as informative as possible without being long and "educational". Our May 28th meeting dealt with the required mandatory documents being read, explained, and voted upon. Thank you to all who attended, and survived :) that meeting.
All are welcome. If you decide to join us, bring ideas!
