Why I care about Midwest Rabbit Rescue & Rehome

I love Bunspace. For those of you who don't know what it is, think about a Facebook or Myspace site for rabbits.I have never seen such a consistently wonderful, loving, compassionate, motivated group of folks, ever. I was just thinking today about how great it is to have a community of caring that shares joys and sorrows alike, that embraces diversity of appearance and expression, that is other-focused instead of self-absorbed. It makes it easy for me to feel connected to the cause of a shelter nowhere near where I live physically, yet very close to my heart. When I read a post on Bunspace about the contest and then read the shelter's web site, something in me said, "I want to help and I can do something to help." So, here I am. Tired from hours spent in front of a computer screen, but content.
