Why Friday is my favorite day...

I really love Fridays!
When I retired in 2004 from my "corporate career" I knew I would go on and do something else and I knew it would be a part time position.
I worked for 2 1/2 years for one company and it was okay--but one week I would work 30+ hours and the next week 6. When I worked 30+ hours it really cut in to my long walks with the dogs. So I kept looking for something that offered steady hours each week. Then I found a job that offered a Monday-Thursday work week. So every Thursday is a good day because I am heading for a 3 day weekend every week.
Fridays, I can go for long leisurely walks with my boys, Hunter & Desi.
Life is good!

I so very much look forward to that type of work week sometime in my future! Right now my favorite days are Sat & Sun since I'm home from work and can spend lots of time with Ozzie. But I try to make Mon-Fri happier by walking Ozzie every morning before breakfast, and walking dogs at a shelter near my work office during lunch hour 2-3 days a week. Dogs sure make me smile!

That is just perfect. I know what you mean about the hours. I spent many years in Corporate Management and found myself either at work, coming home from work, getting ready to go to work or thinking about work.
I did not have time to live, only work and good pay but it really gets you down. I am retired now working part-time for my husband. I come in if I want and go home when my work is done and love to spend time with the kiddies.
It is a much happier environment for all.

Trust me I know the drill. I was the road warrior and did countless 60+ hour weeks for years. Dinner from a vending machine down the hall in my hotel, because I was too tired to go out and grab a bite.
I feel like I have a life and can spend time enjoying it.
