What is important?

If you were asked what you really want out of life, what would it be?
Fame? Fortune? Health? Love?

So many times (as I did this morning), I read in the news about a dog found abandoned, abused, neglected and the person who helps them is greeted with sad but trusting eyes and a wagging tail ....

If you were to ask a dog what is most important for them to have in their life ...paws down, if they could talk, they would reply ...all I want is to give love and to be loved!

Is that really too much to ask!?

I wish humans were more like dogs....what other creature could be abused, beaten, starved, neglected....but, when they meet a kind soul trying to reach them, to save their lives, they show undying love and trust? It is a beautiful transition to behold....You know, they say humans were created in god's likeness....I believe we weren't, dogs were!

You would think it would be such a simple request! Way too many animals are finding out it is not but they never give up faith in the humane race. If every human were to find it in their heart to love an animal, the world would be such a better place!
