Our Little Basket Case

Weird places your cat sleeps???

Okay, it's official, Lilly is a basket case. She sleeps in the darndest places. First she started taking naps in the dogs food bowls so we pick them up when they are done eating. Now Lilly has taken to getting on the dining room table and crawling into the napkin basket. She looks adorable but I lost half the napkins with her wiggling around in it trying to get comfy. She is so cute I couldn't help but let her sleep, I figure she will outgrow it eventually. I mean she will get to big for the basket and move on to something else maybe?
At night she wants to sleep at our faces or on top of us. I will wake up and she is either on my pillow or right in the middle of my back. I was just wondering if most kitties found unusual places to curl up, or is Lilly just a Dilly?

Lilly has now taken to climbing up on top of the security gate that keeps the dogs out of the downstairs, and taking a nap. She looks like a real balancing act.

Willow has been sleeping in the black desk chair in the afternoons.It is nice and warm from the sun hitting it durring the morning.I can never find her cause she is black.

All cats I've had like to sleep in strange places! And strange positions too! My cat Ozzie would pick a spot and sleep there for a couple of weeks, then pick somewhere new. Never knew where it would be but he'd stick with it a little while. My girls now love to sleep in cardboard boxes, duffle bags, drawers, shelves, top of the kitchen cabinets, dining room table, dog beds, window sill, back of the couch and my favorite, snuggled up next to me!

Juju sleeps/has slept in;
The sink
A toy train bridge
Under my desk
In a drawer
On top of a tall bookcase

Cooper has slept;
Under the couch
On his back under the car tire (My brother thought he was dead)
On his back in various other places (We call this pose 'dead cat')

I've had several cats who slept in the bathroom sink. One slept on top of the refrigerator and another slept on top of the tv cabinet. One newly rescued stray gave birth in a 9x9 inch box half full of magazines in papers. She barely could squash herself in...but to give birth on top of it? YIKES!
