Tough Economic Times

One of the women that I work with told me that she and her husband are gong to try to find another home for their cat and dog because with money being so tight, they are finding that they just can't afford to take care of them properly. This got me to thinking what would happen if I were faced with the same situation with my kids, Misty and Johnny. They have become so much a part of my life that I really don't know what I would do without them anymore. They are the ones that keep me sane in a world where so far sanity doesn't seem to exist. And when I'm totally depressed, they are the ones that keep me going.

Money is tight for me as well, and it may become even tighter in the future, but I don't plan on giving up my kids. We will rough it out together. I have no problem with giving up things I want for the things that the kids need. And if I happen to run across a toy or something that I think they will like, I'll get that too.

I don't know what my friend is going to do. She doesn't want to get rid of their pets as she feels the same way about hers and I feel about mine, but money is the bi issue for them.

In any case, it's their decision, and I hope they make the right one for them. Me, I just find it comforting that I have Misty and Johnny waiting for me at the door when I get home.
