I must say this has been very interesting! The premise of this project is wonderful - $1 Million Make Over for a shelter in great need. Our shelter needs a new clinic, no doubt. In the beginning I worked daily to keep our shleter at the top of the heap. It looks like we will remain in the top 20; for that I am thankful.
The part that I hate about this is that it turned into a competitive mess. Like most everything, it became more about points and winning than about creating a space for pet lovers to get good advice on pet products and services. It pitted friends and partners against one another and for that reason alone, I back off for a while.
I hope after this is over we can have a space that allows us to talk about health problems, promote fundraisers, and evaluate services.
