Tabby's story

Tabby was given to us about 3 years ago. She came to us in a taped up covered litter box. (I guess the person that found her didn't have a cat carrier.) She was found as a stray and when she came to live with us we took her to the vet right away because we could tell she didn't feel well. She had a bad ear infection and a urinary tract infection as well. She is known as the attack cat because she is so moody. She often swats and hisses at customers. She rips out her own fur too. She was originally up for adoption but after we witnessed her mood swings, we knew there was a slim to no chance of her ever getting adopted so she became our store cat. Believe it or not, our crabby girl can be very affectionate. We took her to the vet two weeks ago and found out she has a hyper thyroid. She is going to a treatment facility (RadioCat) in Baltimore next week. She'll be there for a few days for one radiation treatment and then she can come home. We're a bit nervous about all of this but; I'm sure, not nearly as nervous as she will be. We're just hoping for the best and maybe our crabby girl won't be so moody after her recovery.
