Surpassing the Odds

I got involved in this contest about two months ago when the West Plains Regional Animal Shelter was way down on the list. I am so proud of everyone who has worked so hard to enable us to finish No. 17. We are a community of only around 11,000 people, but we have a wonderfully compassionate,no-kill shelter that serves our Ozarks region of Missouri and Arkansas. We will benefit from whatever benefits we gain from this contest.
Congratulations to all the individuals and all the communities that worked so hard on behalf of their shelters. We all love animals, and that unites us across the country. That makes us all winners!
