In writing these journal entries asking my fellow ZooTooers to help Bobbi & the Strays, I realize that I cannot inspire others with my words without first setting an example through my action. So here is my pledge to Bobbi & the Strays. I will follow my first donation (sent already!) with a monthly contribution, from August to December, directed towards the building fund, in the form of money orders.

SO, PLEASE EVERYONE, TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY AND DONATE, EVEN JUST A DOLLAR, TO BOBBI & THE STRAYS.

Brenda just wrote a new journal in which she said that Bobbi and the Strays has received $958 to date from Zootooers for the Building Fund.

I'm sorry to have dropped off the face of Zootoo for a bit, but my computer has been down since last Friday. While that was very frustrating, I did get a lot more done around here.

I've requested updates on the contributions Bobbi's received, but as she mentioned, it sometimes takes a while for her to get back with information because she really is being pulled in ten different directions at once.

Please don't lose faith in the cause, to get a new home for Bobbi and the Strays, or think that we're not working very hard as well.

Even though I haven't been on the computer, I've still been bending the ear of everyone I meet.

I was just told that there have been no new Network for Good donations on-line. I guess many people aren't comfortable with sending financial information via the computer.

I will give you an update as to the checks Bobbi's received in the mail as soon as I get it.

This is Bobbi, from Bobbi and the Strays. You have no idea what this means to me and the rest of the staff of Bobbi and the Strays. I have spent every hour of every day trying to do the right thing by the animals who are homeless and abused in NYC. I cannot do it alone, and you have all done so much to make sure that I dont have to! Your support and kindness can never be repayed. Just to know that you have done everything you can to help make a difference in the lives of these animals helps me to sleep at night. You are some of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of being in contact with. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will keep everyone updated as often as possible. My work at the shelter and the adoption center in Glendale keeps me very busy. Please accept my apologies in my delay at responding to the wonderful movement that you have started here on ZooToo. Bless you all, and keep up the great work!

Your time is much better spent in your normal daily heroic actions than in hanging out on ZooToo to keep us informed of every step! Please don't be sorry if you can't keep us updated often- we certainly understand. We know there's a long way to go, but we're on the road with you, and every little step is still one step closer to the goal of the new shelter you so need and deserve. Thank you for all you do. You are amazing!

We just received an update on the total donations received from you wonderful Zootooers. Since the journals started, Bobbi and the Strays has received $745 in checks, cash and online donations! That's just in a week's time.

Some of you sent the nicest notes of support. Bobbi was in tears as she read them. The outpouring of love and support has been really wonderful.

I know I've said this before, but it really is giving us hope that we will be able to meet our deadline.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The love that is being shown, and the sacrifices that are being made are incredible. To think that so many people are willing to do so much to help animals like Bandit (four years at the Vetport) leaves me speechless.

I am doing what I can to spread the word through journal entries, speaking to family and friends. This week was a tough one around here but I will be sending in my donation next week. I will try to follow your lead and send a monthly donation.

I have a journal challenging people to donate thru the Pedigree matching donation program. I have already sent a check to Bobbi and the Strays. I also have contacted Susan and included Bobbi and the Strays in my donation list as I try to send to several different shelters. I gave her the choice of the food and the matching donation from Pedigree or a check for the amount of the food for the building fund. As the "clock is ticking" she choose the check, which is understandable. I have also put that suggestion in my journal for those who MAY have accepted the challenge to include Bobbi and the Strays. I can only keep my fingers crossed that others have accepted the challenge and will include Bobbi and the Strays in their list of shelters to help. Even if I only donate a dollar a month from now thru December, I will follow your lead and send a monthly donation. Great Job!
