Today we pulled (saved) some new babies over to our no kill shelter. We have been doing a few cat adoptions and that has been such a blessing. When we have good adoptions, it only makes things better at the shelter. More room for new animals, new homes for the animals and new opportunities for the others to try to find their forever families.
Hope this goodness will continue.

You should check out my journal about nominating your fave vet! I did it on Tuesday evening.

We are a no kill, I am so grateful for that. I know and understand why many shelters are not, the room is just so limited but thankfully we are a no kill.
Unfortunately the animal control next to us is a county maintained facility and they have no other choice. I feel for them each time they have to put animals down.
I understand and fully support what they do, unfortunately it is a job that no one wants.
I can say that the animals are treated as well as can be and are treated with compassion during their last hours. It really is sad.
Again, thankfully years before I got involved with the shelter, it became no kill.
I think I need to write a journal about this... No kill shelters...
anyway, we have been blessed and hope to continue the blessings for the animals.
