My service dog

Sassy the ever growing service dog
Recently, I started raising a service dog to help me out when she gets bigger. I got her from the Wal-mart parking lot, and knew there would be some more difficulties then what would be if I had got her from the Humane Society or some place like that. However, around our area there is such a bad over population of pets that just to get one into the safe arms of a person who wanted to care for them and would help decrease the overpopulation of pets would be the best ideal situation.

Sassy came into my life at the age of 6 weeks (yes this is too young for a pup to even be taken away from the mommy; however, we have to remember we are talking about people who think they can throw animals around like free food or something like that.) Well, I have had to start working on her first behaviors, such as bite inhibition, teaching her to retrieve things, and what not to chew. She was able to teach herself when to go outside, she was the first to want to learn how to retrieve, and so much more. She is one smart pup.

She is the greatest pup I could ask for, and so far it looks like she might get to be a wonderful service dog.
