If I could rewind my time, I would have made my platform speech so much different for the Ms Wheelchair America pageant. I would have made the platform about the many animals that are within the shelters, and how many of them could be used to have as shelter animals, when given the chance. Since I did not do my homework properly, I gave a very dumb platform speech that really had no use to the general population, and could have probably done so much better for everyone. However, I must put that in the past, as there are other opportunities to make a difference.
There is the Ms Wheelchair USA pageant that I could look into going to eventually, and there I could make my platform speech dealing with getting the service dogs from the shelter and training the pups to do what one needs them to do. I could take my service dog, and show how great they are and inform them that just because they are not full breeds they do have the same possibilities of becoming great service dogs. I could also inform them that there are many possibilities of using other pets from the shelters depending upon preferences of the type of animals, as some are not prone to wanting dogs. There is so much I could do with the platform, that I believe I should give myself a second opportunity to be heard with the new platform in place.
