My Comments

My comments have been deleted from certain news stories and I don't know why. To my knowledge, no one can delete a journal entry, so here are all of my comments that I've written so far. Notice that there are only 7 comments here, so I was never in any feasible way hurting anyone's chances of helping out their shelter - that's what it's all about, right? I just thought I had comments that were worth sharing. Also, my comments make sense, relate to the article as well as other comments, are complete sentences, and as a bonus I know how to spell...

So it seems I am a little bit angry right now. It wouldn't bother me so much that my comments have been deleted if not for the fact that under the FAQ's at the bottom of all of our screens it says that if someone's comments have been flagged enough times, they will lose their credibility within this website. In my opinion, deleting someone's comments for the sake of deleting them without giving them a second glance over makes THIS website lose its credibility for me.

It is not only the comment thing that is frustrating me right now. I have sent them screen shots of certain people using >>>COPYRIGHTED<<< pictures of animals and submitting them as their own animals, these pictures are still on the website.

So delete my comments, add pets you don't own, add pictures of cartoon pets. It's all fine according to zootoo. Meanwhile I have saved and backed up screen shots of everything I have brought up to the zootoo team.

Please excuse my ignorance, but when a shelter is running out of money and is about to go under, is there any kind of system in place where the shelter owners can so-to-speak raise a white flag and say "I give up, I cannot take any more animals, I need help"? What I'm thinking of is kind of like declaring bankruptcy but instead asking other shelters for assistance? Can the state or federal government provide assistance? I'm certain there are shelters out there who would have rather helped these cats before the raid, only they might not have known what was going on.

2. I don't think she intentionally tried to hurt them. There are, UNFORTUNATELY, faster ways to hurt animals intentionally than by getting them all infected with a virus.

ON Stem Cell Therapy Now Eases Pain Of Dogs

3. Why? These stem cells weren't taken from aborted puppies, they were taken from the fat in the very same dogs they are helping. If my fat can help me, or anyone else in the world not feel pain they can have all of it.

5. I agree. Buy Cici a pink sweater. Too many other people won't know she used beet juice or kool-aid, they will see a pink dog and the dumb ones will try and dye their own dogs using household chemicals.

This is from the website:
"Honey is usually taken from the hive in the spring and fall. In the fall, beekeepers replace honey with white sugar syrup — a poor substitute for the bees’ natural food supply — or kill off the colonies to avoid maintaining the hives throughout the winter."

7. Check out the website www.helpthehoneybees.com if you want to find out what you can do to help the honey bees. I have a balcony, but I am still going to plant grow bee friendly plants like lavender and rosemary - they sell these plants in my nearest grocery store!

If you don't hear from Zootoo on the copyrighted materials, you can always contact the owners of the copyrights and give them a heads up.

I can't see that you wrote anything offensive or threatening. Nothing that would suggest libel. You got me. What did Zootoo say?

It seems that Zootoo does not review flagging before the item is deleted. Sadly, during the makeover contest, flagging reviews was a way of subtracting points from competing shelters. Yup, some people stooped pretty low towards the end.

One more idea and I hope it's not the case, but did you make an enemy on Zootoo? Someone who may have been upset by one of your comments? I'm not saying that they had a right to be upset, but there are a few extremely sensitive, rabid users on the site. Dare I say "loony?" Yeah, I dare.

Now that I said "loony," they'll forget all about you and start deleting my comments. I hope to hear at least a "thank you" out of you! ;-)

Seriously, thank you A LOT! I don't know if I've made enemies. I don't think the shelter I've associated my profile with was even in the competition, I seriously don't know. All I can think is the Tiger sanctuary comments got pretty vicious, but I thought my comments were neutral... Zootoo didn't even tell me my comments were going to be deleted. I logged in one day and I had something like 325 points instead of 350 or whatever. It's not like I'm a huge point scorer. Thanks so much for reading and your comments really made my day!!!
