My car name Hrothgar

Yes, that is right. I named one of my cars after my lab Hrothgar. The car is one of my dream cars. It is a 2006 Dodge Daytona limited edition. The color is GoManGo! (metallic orange).

I named the car after Hrothgar because in he younger years, he would run really fast. Like he had his on Hemi engine in his body. If he took off on a run, you could not catch him until he stopped for at least 5 minutes. Then you might have caught him.

Today, Hrothgar's running days are very limited. He is 12 years old and arthur has caught him. However, Hrothgar still has grace and form and looks good idling. Which is usually what the Daytona does.

Since it is a collector car, I don't drive it much. But when I do, let's say idling is not what I do best in it.

I do have other dream cars picked out for the other dogs.

Alarm's car should be a VW Bug. We call him Doodle Bug. So makes sense. But will more than likely be the new Dodge Challenger which is do out soon.

Differ's car will be a 196? Ford Fastback in preferred Cherry Red, but will settle for a different color. Would like a 67 but not too picky.

Freya who past away many years ago has a car named after her already. It is a 1965 Bellaire. It is getting overhauled. Can't wait for it to come back.

Still need a car for Loki who was our first dog and also for Harlem. Both of which have past away. These cars will have to also be special.

Why collector cars and why name them after the dogs. Well, more than likely when my husband and I are gone, the cars will be willed to take care of any of our current pets and also the animals at the shelter.

And by naming them after our dogs, it is the closely thing I can do to give them an award for all to see.

I only have one MAJOR concern here. I drive a 1999 Ford ZX2 that proudly has many dents and dings from these years of other people parking badly! Now, I call it my 'beater car' ... how's that reflect on my beagle crew, Betty?

First of all, it is a FORD. So that is the first problem with it. The only good FORD is the mustang. Sorry, but there is no other FORD worth looking at. And to be honest only the Fastback mustang of the late 60's to be more accurate.

And the only good thing a FORD car like your's would be for is "Furry, Ornery, Rotten Dogs" which perfectly describes a "BEAGLE".

Ouch, game on! :)

Bring it if you got it. More than likely not cause you have a thief in the house, and he has it.

AWW, I think that's a really cute idea. I wonder what Kelsie's car would be?! LOL

We spoke last night about this very topic at dinner and we decided Kelsie would be a ...HYBRID! The perfect mix and the best of both worlds.

I think Kelsie's would be a mini Cooper

Oh yea, I could see that with Kelsie.

Oh yeah, I think that suits her well. She small, but speedy! ^_^ Those 2 traits are exactly waht she used the other day to steal the last bite of my peanut butter sandwhich! Little thief. LOL

OK, first things first. The last time you drove Hrothie you drove like an old lady. All that under the hood and the engine barely revved. What a waste of horsepower!

Harlem - I think he needs to be a 1976 Camero Rally Sport in Firethron red or a black Camero with red pin striping - you pick the year. Either way, somewhere on the side in red it needs to say "Lil Buddy".

Just so you know, I might drive like an old lady, but George got the speeding ticket in it. No wait, that was a speeding ticket changed to driving with no wheels or something stupid. Yes, in my car.

And when I do open it up, it is not on a main road, but more of the country side where there is nothing but corn fields on each side. Yes, I know that road well and so does the car.

As for a Harlem car, I was thinking a convertable of something. His ears were erect unlike the rest of our dogs (freya had erect ears, but she has a car named after her). So to me the difference in the ears means a different kind of car. So was thinking a convertable something.

However, I do like the Camero. And it would have to be black with some kind of pin striping. The License plate would be L Bud D.

I have a feeling I will need to get the story on the ticket on Wednesday. Sounds intriguing.

OK, I might see the convertible, but he was a classic dog with some power under the hood and that makes me think Camero.
