Mercy is a 60 pound lab/greyhound mix who is almost 6 years old. I received her from my sister in a different city. My sister had been walking by this dog for almost two months trying to talk the owners about letting Mercy go. She was full grown, weighed 40 pounds, and lived in a horrible situation. She had very little food or water and no shelter. She was filthy and had no hair on her ears due to the flies.
When my sister's coworkers walked by the house one day, they realized that the people had moved and left her in her pen with no water or food. My sister's coworkers rescued Mercy and my sister brought her to me. She was a real handful. Would not behave, could run like a greyhound, and was just plain horrible. I have had her for almost 4 years and she is one of the most docile dogs I have ever had. Her hair grew back on her ears very quickly and she minds 90% of the time.
