Life changes

I can't get over how much my life has changed in the past few months - I think this week is the first time this week that I realized how much has happened. I'm so mad that I dated such an a*s for the last 4 years. I really thought he was a better person. He said he would always be there to care for Lily. Now gone - and hasn't even called my friends, who have her now to to see how she is doing or even offer to help with some of the bills. I'm not sure what to do since I'm never really home. She seems happier where she is now; but at the same time I really hate to give her up. This is where I wish I was in a fairy tale and have a Prince Charming come along to help me care for the dog - but I guess that's more wishful thinking than real life....
