I'm new to Zootoo after having a friend tell me about it. My husband and I are over the road team truckers. I have always been an animal lover and was raised on a farm with all the critters common to that profession. As a child, us kids always had a dog. It was usually a mutt that some neighbor had a litter of. There were lots of cats in the barn that we loved to squirt while we were milking cows. I have had different pets all my adult life, from dogs and cats to birds. My favorite dogs have always been cockers. I love their faces and their floppy ears. I love how intelligent they are and their level of activity. I was wanting another dog after a cocker mixed got run over in front of our country home, but my husband was hesitant with us always being in the truck. We were delivering in a little town in Pennsylvania and went down a street with a pet shop and there was the cutest little cocker in the window. We delivered our load and bob-tailed back to the pet store and as the song goes, "How much is that doggie in the window?" That is how we came to acquire our female. The town was Hanover, PA and my husband named her Hannah. She was such a timid little girl and her first ride in a big rig really frightened her. She voided out of both ends all over me. I just kept holding her and calming her and she adjusted in no time and loved the mobile life. We had her just a few months and decided to get a male for a friend. I would pick up newspapers in various areas we went to looking for a black male puppy. While in Indiana I spotted an ad with a litter of black cocker puppies. Made a phone call and we had our new family member. The name of that town was Pennville, Indiana and that little black boys name is Indian Ink and we call him Indi. They were both raised in the truck and still love going for a ride whenever they get a chance. I don't go out in the truck much as we have aquired more trucks and Istay home and run the business. Both of my babies will be 8 years old this year and I'd be lost without them. They are such good dogs and it's really funny how they interact with each other. It really is like having kids in the house. My grandkids love them. It's nice to have a place to gush about our pets and have people who totally get it.
