How do you convince someone to put your shelter in the top 10 when there are 20 to pick from. I assume that all these shelters are worthy and I'm sure some are more worthy than others.

We are a small shelter. We provide care for animals that have no where else to go. We will open up homes of volunteers and we will go out looking for lost pets. We will tell the surrounding community of the need to help these animals over and over until they get the message. I don't think this makes unlike most other shelters.

I think that being a small shelter run by people who give continually of their money, time and homes makes us worthy to be in the top 10. I think that the cheerful faces the animals get to see every day even though the water is frozen and you had to haul it out with you from town, makes us worthy. I think the effort to find a place for all dogs and cats makes us worthy. We are small and have limited resources, but we are strong in heart.

We will pursue our dreams of a permanent shelter for as long as it takes for it to come true. We will not give up. We will continue to pound on doors until those with money to help us hear our request for help.
