I had not had a dog since I was a child. My dad had bird dogs and rabbit dogs when I was young. My daughter turned 12 in September and she had never had a dog. My uncle had several beagles and one of the females (named Sugar) was going to have a litter of puppies. My dad wanted my daughter to have one. That was a year ago on Saturday. I cannot imagine life without Buttercup! I love her so much! She is precious and beautiful. No wonder they call dogs (wo)mans best friend!
