Heartgard Plus for Show & Tell

This is 6 month's worth of Heartgard Plus to keep my canine babies heartworm free. Cassidy had heartworms when we rescued her & the treatment was NOT fun! She handled the first round of injections fine, but developed pulmonary emboli during the second round, even though she was kenneled. I NEVER want any of them to go through that again! They all take their preventative like a treat on the 15th of every month.

You know something? I never knew that cats can get heartworms too! I've seen dogs go through that tx before and it's so very sad Kelly! I'm glad you take care of them!

Yep, it affects cats differently though, which is why it only recently came into the spotlight. Plus, there isn't an approved treatment. There are preventatives though.
