Heading up the trail
I got to go hiking again this weekend and had a fabulous time. My niece went with the dogs and I that is always great to have an extra hand when hiking with four dogs. My husband has an injured foot and won't be hitting the trails with me this fall, much to my dissappointment. Hopefully he will let it heal so he can go with me this spring. My niece is a great companian for hiking and actually walks faster than me, which I didn't think was possible. We did a five mile hike and are planning a ten mile soon. Needless to say we all slept good that night. The best part is that I remebered the camera so I got some new photos of the dogs.

I love to hike this time of year. It's incredible the things that you can see and the smell--it is like nothing else. Thanks for sharing. :)

Me too! Fall is my favorite season for getting out and about, the colors, the temps and best of all, those pesky bugs are disappearing.

I did. The weather has been so awful lately and that was our first day of warmth and sunshine, couldn't have picked a better day.
