Hates kittens.

We rescued some kittens that were left behind by their mother and our cat Katelyn HATES them. She was an inside cat until they were big enough to walk around and now she has decided she no longer loves us. She has taken up residence at our neighbors house. We go get her bring herr back in and right back out the doggy door she goes in long enough to have a treat and then gone again. LOL How do I get her to stay in, we are getting rid of all but one kitten.

sorry she is reacting in such a way.. she knows where her home is but as stated feels her territory had been invaded.. she needs to have a place just her own in your home.. my girl Murrissa hated kittens in fact I have fostered quite a few over the years as well as taken in a couple to adopt. She tried to kill every one of them. I had to keep them completely separated for a few months til they could protect themselves then she didn't bother with them. I always had her own area with her own bowls, pillows and never allowed any of the other animals to eat from her bowls etc.
she learned to tolerate but never accepted them.. actually I was the only one she ever took to.. she avoided my daughter for 17.5 years unless I wasn't home and she wanted some attention or food.

She feels her territory has been invaded. Once all you have is the one then you'll have to work on them accepting each other. And being that she was an inside cat she is probably exploring the great outdoors also. A plus that she only went to your neighbors.
