What is up with people and their New Years resolution of getting rid their pet! For 5 hours today all I heard was people trying to find a new home for their unwanted pet---anywhere from a few weeks old to 15 years or more. It was sickening! I wish people would realize their commitment to an animal as soon as they take it into their lives and into their home. If you pick up an animal from the streets---you are taking responsibility for that animal either to care for it yourself or to find somewhere that is able to.
