I am so frustrated with people that adopt a pet, and then can't make a commitment to it.

Someone adopted a kitten from us 4 months ago. She called today saying she thinks the kitten might have a bowel obstruction, but that she doesn't have any money to take it to the vet.

That is unreal to me! I will ALWAYS figure out a way to get my pet to the vet if it needs to go, and I have a ton of pets!!!!!!!!

I just find it so unacceptable that this woman called the shelter she adopted the cat from, and wants us to deal with it for her. (Of course because we love all of our cats, we told her she can relinquish it back to us and we will take care of it. However, that means hundreds of dollars our of our pocket, and we are a non-profit.)
