Doggie nail care

I think I have the oddest (but sweetest) dog of all time. I believe this for many reasons. If you met my dog, you would completely understand. Anyways, one of the things that makes him so weird is that he is always licking his paws. He gets baths regularly, so I don't understand why he is always cleaning himself. Also, he can't do it during the day. He has to do it when you are trying to get to sleep at night. Does anyone else have a dog that does this? Maybe I have had dogs that have done this in the past and never noticed it. I don't know. All I know is I have one crazy dog!

My first thought on this was an allergy of some kind. I've been told that giving the dogs brewers yeast can cause licking of the feet(it hasn't in my own dogs- but it's worth a look).

Many times, when a dog obsessively licks his feet, the cause is an allergy. Either an allergy to something he walks on, or a food allergy. I would suggest looking at the ingredients of the food that you feed, and if you see corn, wheat, soy, or gluten, switching to a brand that has none of those ingredients.
