Differ first physical therapy appointment

Differ had her surgery on the 11th of March to repair her torn ACL. On monday, the 24th (tomorrow), she gets her stitches out and a check up with Dr. Beckett at VCA MillRun at noon. Asked him if he was bringing lunch or should we.

Once we leave there, we head to VCA Sawmill to see Dr. Shearer for a 1:00 appointment. She will be the one responsible for Differ's physical therapy. And I do believe, Differ will be a challenge.

Since the surgery, Differ has not even tried to use the leg. She will not even "toe touch" with it. She would rather run around on three legs holding up the injured yet repaired leg.

Differ is also not one to show pain. She is a pit bull mix after all and they can be tough.

So with 2 Vet Appointments in a row, I think if there is time, we will be heading to Pet People on Avery Road for some Bark N' Bakery Snacks.

I hope that Differ's appointments went well and that she will start using her leg again. Is she still as active as she was even on 3 legs? I hope she gets back to her "running" self soon.

Betty, I hope all went well with Differs visits Monday. I can not imagine keeping a dog with her energy level quiet. Hope physical therapy works out well. How does she do loading and unloading in the vehicle? Best wishes from all of us at the Bayer Farm

torn acl, good deal. :P best of luck to you both, i know it can be hard, especially the way you make it sound like your dog is taking to 3 legs so well, but she sounds like a trooper, so keep your heads up! :)
