Destructo Mutt has Returned.

Reagan, the 10 month beagle in the house, has been going through her second puppyhood. She seems to want to chew on soft items and tear them up.

Yesterday there was this ominous rip of fabric and I got up to discover that she was tearing a hole in a quilt - a nice appropriate chew was close by. I redirected her.

Today, hmmm, let me see, it started off with the green fleece bone she retrieved from the basement. Squeak must die! was her motto as she deftly opened a seam, destuffed it, removed the squeaker with surgical precision - all while I was gone for 2 minutes! As I picked up the mess and gave her something she was allowed to chew on she almost smirked at me - I'm not through yet.

Next, I came out of the laundry room to find she had found and desqueaked a fleece Flippy Flyer. Once again I repeated the process of cleaning up and giving her something to chew on.

Just for added fun it has been a rainy day here and Reagan has demanded to go in and out and in and out. Each trip inside necesssitates being wiped off head to toe. The scent of wet dog is now hanging in the air.

And finally, after wrecking havoc, she has just collasped like a bad card table for a nap and is having puppy dreams. No doubt planning her next destructive exploits and imagining herself as that super hero Destructo Mutt.

I fear what lies ahead.

I can understand your day. Morgan has disassembled many of Roz's stuffed toys that have lived in peace and wholeness for almost seven years now. First, there are the telltale signs of pieces of white stuffing in a trail leading up to the murder scene. Along the way, there are bits of colored cloth or fake fur.

As I make each step, I feel like a detective asking myself, "Oh, no! Who met a terrible fate this time?"

Exactly! In my case she was kind enough to do the Tasmanian Devil bit and just kill it right there.

Oh boy, sounds like Reagan can be a little stinker, too! ^_^ I know the feeling. I bet she is creating her next 'plan of attack'! She's very cute though, and I'm sure she would love for you to think that one of her siblings did those things, or maybe even an imposter that looks like her did it! LOL She's so adorable!

I am quite certain she would try blame it on someone else, but unfortunately for her she is still too impulsive and hasn't figured out how to set up her sibs yet.
