Close call

Not to long ago Abbey had a close call. She had a non bleeding puncture wound from picking on Lady that no one saw (well it didnt bleed) We noticed it was swollen and took her to the vets about a hour after she had picked on little OLD GROUCHY Lady. She had a very high temp and we were told we got her there just in time. Her time was high enough it could have killed her. The vet said it was a non bleeding puncture wound and you dont know about it till it swells up. Well Abbey hasnt learned her lesson and wants to pick on the little old Lady. Abbey is still a young girl and doesnt understand Lady is old and wants to be left alone. Oh my what a incident. It was scary and heartbreaking.

It's hard because the younger ones really don't understand and just want a friend. I am so pleased that Lady is going to be okay. See, you went with your instincts and that saved her.

People don't realize how dangerous cellulitis and abscesses really can be!! You are fortunate to have found it when you could save your doggie. Lady is still a force to be reckoned with!

I am glad you got to the vet in time. Sometimes we just don't know how bad things are, especially if there is no bleeding and we did not see the fight.
