Championship Roper Dies

Randy Hellman a world champion breakaway roper died last night in his sleep. He was a very good friend of mine and he had been training my sister to breakaway rope. He had even given her his world champion horse Sire. He was a Vietnam Veteran which he was proud of and very proud of all of his accomplishments. He was a person that cared more of others than himself.

They think that it was a heart attack. He was in his 60's. They are having a memorial for him Sunday at 7:00pm. I think James and I are going to try and make it.

How very sad for his family. Do they know the cause of his death? What are the arrangements? Are you going? How old was he? Was he only in his 50s or early 60s like most Vietnam vets? This is very sad and I would like to extend his family my sincerest sympathies. It is always sad when a loved one dies unexpectedly.
