I said it was a saga, didn't I?
Yeah so my boyfriend ended up going to see my sister and her bf one weekend a few months back (this saga has been going on for over a year, mind you) because she was doing the layout for his album cover....he comes back and tells me how Bronson got into a fight with another dog. Brian said that Carlos (her bf) brought him over to a friend of theirs' house who had another dog...some sort of border collie mix. no one was paying attention, and the b.c. mix was gnawin on a bone, and bronson wanted it. Dog fight proceeded. Both of them had some nicks but nothing serious.
I call alison the next day to get the low down because I was concerned, and she starts telling me about a completely different dog fight. Seems that Bronson is on a roll. This second incident happened when she was picking him up from her dog walker/friend's house. Her friend's apartment opens up into a courtyard that is locked. Alison yelled over the fence, and her friend came out onto her porch, which was slightly elevated. Her friend left the porch and proceeded to walk through the courtyard to the gate. Bronson nosed the door open, which was left ajar. At the same time, this chick's boyfriend is walking on the opposite side of the fence with his dog. Bronson and this dog apparently do not like each other....they have some past history...they see each other, and the other dog starts growling. Bronson instantly jumps over the fence and onto the back of this other dog and starts attacking him! Alison gets over there as quick as she can since she was stuck on the other side....Bronson bites the girl's bf in the process on his hand.
I'm speechless at this point, especially when she nonchalantly is like, "oh yeah...this is a separate incident..."
i talked to her for about 30 minutes very calmly about how bad this is. i explain the whole viscous dog thing. I explain the whole lawsuit thing. her response was that this guy that got bit should have known not to get in the middle of 2 fighting dogs. I told her that any average dog owner would have done that. Not everyone knows better...its an instantaneous reaction. Alison says that when Bronson is in her care he is controlled....and I mention that these 2 incidents were when he wasn't in her care...and ask what she is going to do about that?
Well, basically it was like talking to a wall. She thought I was over reacting.....I somehow managed to keep my cool and not holler at her like I so wanted to do.....
I was even more impressed with myself when my mom came home from a visit 1 month later and said she got another male pitbull....
that she found on the streets....
