Hello, we are Bobby's new family, The Doherty's; Kelly (mom), Donald (dad), Shannon (7 years old), Bridget (4 years old), Eleanor (2 years old) and Molly (just turned 1), Wade (cat) and Poe(cat) and I would love to post Our zootoo story. Well I will start with last night, we were all up making signs for the zootoo visit to our shelter, Jefferson Co. SPCA. All the girls helped and were very happy to be a part of something big. Well as we were paiting, we were all talking about how much our two cats mean to us. That then lead to how much we missed Frankie, a cat that got lost about a year and a half ago. It is so sad, the girls pray for him almost every night. At first when we could not find him we called and went to the SPCA to check and see if he was there with no luck. My kids are still very young and we just told them that he found a new home to live at (one with kids that needed a good cat). When bed time came around they prayed and remembered Frankie...and went to bed sad.
In the a.m they were up and ready, posters and pop-tarts in hand. We got to the SPCA with almost 2 hours early, we picked out the best spot. Wow, most of the town was out for the event. The big bus pulled in and the crowd went wild. We all listened the the great speech on what we as humans can do for pets, it was so truthful and moving. Inside the shelter the New york Safe child progam was making safty ID cards for the children. Something I could not pass up. We joined the line of people that were entering, we had to walk pass all the cats in the small cages. My children were checking out them all....then we came to a cage with a black fur ball inside....I was almost sure it was Frankie. I had to ask...it was not. The girls were hurt alover again. After the ID's I was loading the kids in the car and had a thought. I had to ask if we could bring her home. I called my husband (not in front of the kids, just in case he said NO) and told him the story. He gave the ok...Well we did not take her home but we have a new family member, Bobby.
He is still checking out the house and the girls are still running around after him and finding all the cat toys they can.
Thank you, ZooToo for our new cat, Bobby
We love him,
Kelly Doherty and the girls
