Bobbi and the Strays

I have worked at JFK Airport for many years. Over those years, I have seen many strays around our warehouse, both in our old building and where we are now. It is such a great feeling to know that we have someone to go to for advice and who is there for these poor creatures. One of the many instances, in January of this year, we had a Rottweiler wander into our warehouse. One of the guys, who also love animals, was able to get her tied up so as not to be hit by the trucks backing in or wandering out onto Rockaway Blvd ( very heavy with trucks, buses and cars). We fed her and she was eventually adopted by a trucking company. I was in touch with Bobbi at the time and I gave them Bobbi's phone # as she would help them with any problems. It turns out the pup did not get along with the other dog that they had there. Bobbi gave them the # for the Rottweiler Rescue in NJ. I keep in touch with the girl at the trucking company and as of Tuesday, the pup is in a shelter in NJ for evaluation and is ready for the Rotty Rescue doing very well. Thanks to Bobbi, she is not in the street again. Wonder why Bobbi and the Strays did not take her? The Pet Port, where the larger dogs go, is being taken over by one of the airlines. Bobb will have to get out of there and now have to worry about where the dogs they have now will go. This is a shame, as she does so much for these creatures. THANK YOU BOBBI FOR YOUR DEDICATION!!!
