Austin finally got rain

I'm very thankful that Austin is finally getting a little of the wet stuff, but why did the cold front have to roll through North Austin right at the time I was out walking the dogs. Perdita and Miki didn't seem to recognize the importance of getting back to the house as the cold winds swept through my T-shirt and running shorts and small droplets of rain spattered the pavement. Mind you, Perdy is the same dog who refuses to go outside in pouring rain because she might melt! I walked Suzuka and Krista while wrapped in my raincoat and wearing a broadbrimmed sunhat (hey, it does a better job of keeping the rain off than most hats would), but the real challenge was Akane's bike run. Fortunately, my ankle length coat mostly cooperated today and did NOT get caught in the bicycle chain...here's hoping that tomorrow the rains hold off a little while I'm out with Akane for her run.
