ANIMALS ARE MY LIFE!!!!

Since I was 5, animals have been the most important things in my life. I stop everything when an animal is need. I told my husband when we first went out "if you can't handle this don't get involved with me." He had one cat in his life (he was 60 when we met). We now have 14. We have had 4 dogs who have passed away. Kisses, Pip, both strays and Scooter and Moosie who were born to a semi- wild dog I caught the day after the pups were born. She had 6, one was dead in the nest, the other five were big and beautiful. she was part lab/border collie and she mated with Great Dane. All the pups have died of natural causes, cancer, Scooter died suddenly on father's day last year of a heart attack, he was 8. There's only 1 pup left, Pepsi. I believe it was the dane in them to cause death at such young ages. I have been catching feral cats for 30 years. With the help of my vet Dr. Paul Phillips, who allowed me to bring them to his office, calm them, he gave them all their shots and fixed them at no charge, and let them live their until I could find them homes. He is a most remarkable man!!!! I now have the Wyoming Co. SPCA, of which I am proud to say I am the president. It is my Disney World! We have one big room where most of the cats are free to roam, sleep, play and snuggle. I could sit in there for hours. Unfortunately, we are always busy trying to raise money to keep the shelter going. We operate strictly on donations, grants, memberships and fundraisers. It' a full- time job and I wouldn't do anything else. I'm a very lucky person, because most of my life I have known why I am here. To help, love and care for animals. I Love them ALL!!!! Good Luck to everyone, but I hope we win because our animals really need it!!! Candee
