As a child I was frequently asking my parents to take in animals that I found or that were offered to me. Although, I was not able to keep all of them, I have had a number of pets over the years. We always have had dogs, but I also managed to have birds, gerbils, a chameleon, when I was a child, and then
kittens, and rabbits, during my adult years. I cannot imagine a home without some kind of animal.
As an adult, I also became interested in animal rights issues. I have used only products that don't test on animals or use animal products for many years.
